PLAINVILLE ? Plainville?s volleyball match late Friday night didn?t go well on the court, as the Blue Devils lost to Middletown in four games, but the Blue Devils accomplished a much more important goal.
Plainville raised some $700 for the Side Out Foundation, which aides the fight against breast cancer, as part of its ?Pink night.?
The team, which was helped by a $270 donation by Middletown, is also hoping to get a big chunk of change from the Middle School of Plainville?s squad in order to reach its goal of $1,000.
The Blue Devils expect to at least get well over last year?s $500 raised.
