Sun Valley, NV - Debra Craig has been making and giving out pink scarves for six years. At first, she just gave one to her friend who'd battled the illness. But then, Debra saw the powerful effect it had and she started making them for people she didn't even know. Many times, her friends tell her about people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. That's when Debra makes them a scarf to wear near their heart.
"Even if it takes away their pain for just a few minutes, it's worth it to me," she says.
Debra has a health condition that makes it difficult for her to use her fingers, but she says that's not going to stop her from creating the scarves. She has made hundreds of them.
Debra does not ask for donations. Still, some people have offered to help her with some of the costs. If you would like to help, you can contact her at 775-337-0939 or at danielccraig007@aol.com.
